About The Author

Philip Bunting makes picture books for children who ask “why?” (and the grown-ups who pretend they don’t).

Philip made his first book as a birthday gift for his daughter, in 2016. Since then, his work has been published in 40-something countries, and translated into almost as many languages. Philip’s books have picked up a handful of fancy awards, been sent into space, lit up the facade of Australian Parliament House, and used to fix up many a wonky table-leg.

Originally from England’s Lake District, he now lives on Australia’s Sunshine Coast with his partner-in-crime, Laura, and their three children.

Philip’s goal is to make books that his grandchildren will be proud of.
