About Alisha Henderson
Alisha Henderson is a pastry chef and the owner of Sweet Bakes, a successful cake business based in Melbourne. She started Sweet Bakes at the age of 19 while working as a professional cheerleader and studying journalism.
Alisha's mission is to spread sweetness through cake gifting and shippable sweets, which led to the creation of the famous Cake Mail Club during the pandemic. The Cake Mail Club has brought a sense of community and cheer to Australia, with a monthly theme each time.
In 2023, Alisha co-founded Co. Bake Space, a premium pop-up, event, and activation space in Melbourne’s Richmond, where she and her partner run workshops and bake sales.
Alisha is also a published children's author and illustrator, known for her series "Storybook Sweets," which includes the first book "Millie Muffin."
Her goal is to 'edu-cake' bakers everywhere, proving that cake is worthy of a seat at the Dessert Masters dining table.
