About the author
Anthony Ham is one of Australia’s most experienced nature and travel writers. For more than two decades, he has been travelling to the Earth’s wild places in search of stories, including to Africa, the Amazon, the Arctic and outback Australia. His work has appeared in The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, The Monthly, National Geographic Traveler, BBC Wildlife, Lonely Planet Traveller, The Independent and elsewhere. His first book is The Last Lions of Africa (Allen & Unwin, 2020), but he has also written or co-written more than 135 guidebooks for Lonely Planet. Anthony lived in Madrid for ten years until 2012, and now lives in Melbourne with his wife and two children.
