About this product

Handbuilt by coil and sculpted to perfection. Every natural variation is my characteristic. Suitable for dry/fresh flowers, plant pot and plant propagation. Our pieces are fired in high temperature to ensure that they are strong and durable. We try our best to make our pieces as unifo rm as possible but all of our pottery pieces are handmade and one-of-a-kind which may vary in size, colour and shape. That is what makes them unique! Material used: stoneware clay Note that glazes are hand mixed and each batch might differ slightly.

Here's a little insight about me and how I learned about pottery. As a child, I was always curious about how things were made. That led me to pursue an education in Product Design in Singapore. Afterwhich, I worked as a spatial designer in the Exhibitions and Events industry for a couple of years before my partner and I moved over to Brisbane in 2017. Honestly, the move was the one of the toughest period of my life. We had to restart life in the new environment, leaving our familiar routine. Being in the foreign country was isolating and lonely but I felt the joy of making things. ⁠

We were living in a rental apartment and everything felt so unfamiliar. It was lacking of the essence of 'home'. I began to search for objects to decorate the place. I was drawn to ceramic pieces as they evoke a peculiar sense of warmth. That intrigued me to learn about the craft, so I enrolled into a pottery course in 2018. This was when my pottery journey began - molding the mud into a storytelling object.
