DESCRIPTION- Perched high on the winding ascent of the Gillies Range, the lookout offers a breathtaking panorama of Far North Queensland’s lush, ever-changing landscape. From this vantage point, the vast Atherton Tablelands stretch toward the horizon, a patchwork of emerald-green rainforest, rolling farmland, and distant volcanic peaks. Below, the lowlands sprawl towards the coast, where glimpses of Cairns and the shimmering Coral Sea emerge through the haze.

The lookout is in the Danbulla National Park & offers scenic views of the Goldsborough Valley, the Mulgrave River, and the Bellenden Ker range, where Queensland's 2nd highest mountain is, which is also the wettest place in Australia! 

On misty mornings, clouds drift through the valleys, softening the rugged terrain, while at sunset, the sky is set ablaze with warm hues, casting a golden glow over the hills. It’s a place to pause, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and take in the wild beauty of the tropics from above.
