A collection of postcards made by us to show our love of our hometown & our region, and to give you treasures to take home as mementos or to post to your loved ones! Coated on the image side to protect it, but uncoated on the back, they are easy to write on! They are a matching series so they can be displayed together.
We are nature & art lovers, so these are the main subjects of our photographs!
A6 standard postcard sized.
DESCRIPTION-Â WOVEN FISH- Created for the Esplanade redevelopment in 2003, Brian Robinson inadvertently created the visual theme of the Cairns Esplanade, they are now the iconic image of Cairns, a true landmark! The work consists of five 2.5m high x 1.5m wide stainless steel replicas of the traditional Torres Strait Islander practice of weaving palm leaves into the shape of fish.Â
Brian is a Cairns based Torres Strait Island artist, he has had works exhibited all over the world, has won multiple prestigious art awards, and has works included in many major galleries in Australia and internationally.Â
