Locally Made Indigenous Jewellery by Michelle Weare

Made from local, traditional seeds & methods. Made using Red Sandalwood Seeds, Bush Pearl, Palm Seeds, Burny Beans & other local seeds.  These traditional styles of seed jewellery have been made for many generations all over Australia, the Torres Strait Islands, Papua New Guinea, South Asia and the Pacific Islands, in some cases the available seeds are even the same.  

Approximately 50cm long- 25cm wearing length.

This jewellery is handmade using natural materials, please handle with care. To ensure longevity, please keep them dry and store in a dry place, and do not swim or shower in them.  Over time, make up, and other products may cause discolouration, and natural breakdown will occur, however they are all hard seeds, varnished and can last many years when cared for properly!

Michelle Weare comes from the lands of the Wadjanbarra Yidi people of the Atherton Tablelands, and lives south of Cairns in the Innisfail/Mamu area.
